OK...I am happy I have recovered and located this blessed blog.
I am "NOT HAPPY" with Eblogger. TODAY...I was FORCED to move to the new and improved blogger format. NOT GOOD!
It's gonna take a while for me to figure it all out. I don't know if ya can post without creating a new GOOGLE account.
Yes, I posted on the previous page, not realizing that a new one had been started. But, I didn't have any problem at all.

Hmmm, I haven't had a problem. However, when I log on it gives me a pop-up about secure and unsecure transactions. That never happened before....
Not transactions, but "secure and unsecure items" and do I want to continue. Just did it again...not sure what that's all about.
My post was not important. I am spending way too much time trying to figure out this Darla chick, and where her brain is at. Is she begging to go to Ace's or for her job back. Didn't she work at ace's for about 10 minutes? I am used to her posts dripping with accolades for Laredo.
This one read like an Idol reject begging to sing another song.

Jen - I never said you had a desire for me! It's hard to believe that you would be on TV and so successful with such bad reading comprehension. I know you swing the other way and your advocacy of the subject and it's acceptance is admired, honestly. Having a "hard-on" for someone since I was a kid has always meant a dislike or propensity to bust someone balls.
I bet when you're on TV you get make-up, we didn't. I was tired and maybe I looked it, so what. The bottom line is that the phones and e-mail came flooding in at the front desk of the station so I guess we did our job.
I'm ALWAYS tired! I have a day job, a night job and raise 2 kids which is a NEVER-ending job. So sorry that you thought I looked tired.

OK...WE still haven't seen all of the Lawless FOX 8 tape. We have watched snippets.
Mr. Webster and I have discussed in detail, what we have each seen, in mind-boggling detail. Doubt anyone else has spent this much time on the subject.
I am going on the theory, some people are interested in what I have to say. NOT 400,000...but a good portion of the Cleveland country demographic. WE are all NOT going to agree.

Friday, Feb. 9th we will be opening for Rodney Adkins down at HOB. Doors at 7pm, show at 8pm. We have a 45 minute set.
Sunday, Feb. 11th we will be opening for Heartland (the famous one) at The Tangier in Akron. Doors at 7pm, show at 8pm. We have a 1 hour set.

All the Grammy Nominations
The Dixie Chicks are nominated for Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best Country Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal for "Not Ready To Make Nice," and Album Of The Year and Best Country Album for "Taking The Long Way."
They are slated to perform on tonight's broadcast...yippy!
ACE's hosted three Cleveland country bands this past week. Lawless, Curtis Brothers and Heartland.
Two of three bands are nominated for the Free Times Music Awards.
Lawless had just been featured on FOX 8, and announced opening for two REAL national acts.
The Curtis Brothers are a favorite among Cleveland country music fans and line dancers.
What are the guest posters talking about...LOL!
ACE's had a guest poster a week or so ago, that "lifted" multiple screen names from this blog. Hmmmmmm!

My "mediocre" opinion of Miss Kellie is well documented, and cognitively accurate.
No delusions involved.
Ya all remember her...she was the BULL queen of "Clashing Country".
At the time, Miss Kellie was NOT very popular in the Cleveland country community and ALL posts regarding her vocal ability were NEGATIVE.
It does NOT take a rocket scientist or an "artist" to recognize below average talent. It is fitting that Miss Kellie and Laredo will be sharing a stage soon.

It appears that the digruntled "feathered bird-head" Mrs. Webster is still trying to "ruffle some feathers" in her own little blog world under the guise doing her best to promote country music in Cleveland. By the statements and comments she makes, it would seem she has anger management problems, is emotionally unstable and feels the need to dominate conversations, opinions and issues. As in the Land of Oz, you should "pay no attention to the man (bird) behind the curtain" as she is a self-serving slamming sham.

There is NO reason for me to support Laredo. A majority of the ignorance, profanity, name calling, and direct slams come from the Laredo camp. It's been that way for way too long, and I don't expect it to discontinue anytime soon.

Can you see a road? I can't...I know it's out there! It's going to be an all day affair just getting the drive cleaned out. There is a foot and half of snow up against the garage door.
I say we all stay home!
Well, I barely saw the roads but I made it in to work, albeit about an hour late! Had to pull over a couple of times to clean my wipers but it didn't matter - the roads were pretty much deserted. I get all the way downtown to find out the lots aren't plowed! Good thing I have a pretty small car...found somewhere to put it. lol But, I won't be staying long. What people won't do for money! I have a guy coming in for a check in this weather!! But after he leaves, I'm outta here!
Everyone else, enjoy your day! I have a slow cooker meal going too today....just seemed like a good day for that.
I am making turkey/rice soup. That is the palatable name, for Mr. Webster's benefit. In my family, we call it carcass soup...

There were three sentences missing. I have NO clue, WHY three sentenced didn't post.
The gist was...the SOT crowd are active bloggers, myspacers, and net surfers.
They don't want the dillusional (sic) banter on their own sight, as to taint their image of the "good guys", and "above it all"...so they take on the road.
My reference/rationale is history and personal experience.
As ACE's is learning...it is nearly impossible to control content in an open unrestricted forum.
The direct slams to me, my husband, my family, my friends, my blog, my bloggers, my hometown, my mental health status...big flippen deal!

A significant date.
I've been sifting through the archives...AGAIN!
Found some diddies...for the trip down memory lane.
For example; a year ago tonight, Mr. Webster and I went to see Love, Janis...we stopped at ACE's first, then treked to Bullfrog's Cafe to see Laredo. It was Todd's first gig back after his tonsillectomy.
Ya see, that February 18th, is when the conflict, and run-amok started between myself and Laredo.
Ross shared with me that Frank Dunch was being "traded" to Backwoods.
Ross assured me "it was a mutual decision" uttered the required disclaimer "not for the blog", and stated he would give me the "scoop" first, when all the details were final. So, I waited...

You people rake me over the coals every other week.
Furthermore, I find it repulsive that the SOT crowd portrays themselves as above board, the good guys, and innocent.
NO...I am NOT gonna let it go!
I do NOT send you nasty emails, and I would appreciate it if you could refrain from it as well.
Until the truth rolled around and still has never been posted.
They were trying to replace Frank a year before they actually did. I was personally approached by 2 guitar players who went to the "secret" practices to try out for the spot. Frank knew nothing of it and when I found out, I personally called him to tell him he needed to watch his back. When it all went down portions of the Laredo camp were laughing about replacing Frank and mocking him in public. There was no trade, Frank was screwed!!!
Frank really did have the last laugh as he was carrying an entire band on his back and they haven't been the same since. I had a few sit-downs with Frank and talked candidly about the whole situation. There was no love lost there. He despised Todd and that's the bottom line. I'm tired of the story being hinted and not told.
Little "L" will always be just that, Little "L".
Quite frankly, I get insulted when they are put in the same sentence as us because their is no comparison. Anybody with ears and eyes knows it.
Gee, does nobody else notice how their web-site has evolved into an almost mirror image of ours. I don't really know Tony the guitar player, but I can only imagine that his talent will only be so tolerable for only so long. Ray is a really nice guy and has always been kind to me. The rest can kiss my ass for all I care. I've heard enough from everyone else to know who spouts off about what.
As for the Ace's guestbook posters who claim that we tell people who to book: you're damn skippy we make reccomendations. Laredo has run themselves out of several bars that we play. The register and people that know business and sound don't have them back for a reason. Not because we told them not to. The proof is in the pudding.
We get shows because we get calls! We don't beg or whine or try to make power plays. We'll leave that to the amatuers. They got to play Billy Ray because we TURNED IT DOWN!!! Christian Simmons and Kellie Lynn? Who the hell is that? Those are shows that are organized by Laredo themselves.
If you love Laredo, go see them and stay the hell away from me. I don't need tone-deaf people at my shows anyway. All 10 of you stay true to that camp please and leave the name Lawless out of your mouths. We will be much better off for it.

I am not interested in what Lawless deserves or doesn't deserve. Frank Dunch deserved better than what he got. People managed to get Lawless, Curtis Brothers and the Tabloid Twangers nominated for the Free Times awards, but couldn't muster up the votes for Frank. It was a relief when laredo wasn't on the list. That would have been a crime in some states.

Ok so I popped over to the Ace's site just out of pure curiosity lol and my personal opinion is that they LOVE to talk about Lawless.. people have issues.. i like the one about Lawless being cocky.. LOL Jd you know Ive thought you were cocky from day one.. lol but ya know what. I like that.. im just as cocky as the next person and ive been around ya'll for about 3 years now.. lol i think its funny though how that other "L " band tries to turn current Lawless followers against them.. I for one was once accosted by them at the Dusty Armadillo about a 2 years ago but I DIDNT fall for the fakeness.. Ive hung out w/ the Lawless family outside of gigs and they are no different then anyone else..a nd if you were one of the few who were invited to private gigs with them or personal home parties they were no different there either. So they are confident so what.. thats what gets them places being a whiney bitch wont get ya anywhere.

As for the little "l", fake is a nice way of putting it. I do NOT know the entire band, but the ones I have spoken with ooze it. One thing always spouted was their loyalness to other bands and band members. Yeah right. I heard once certain people left this blog because of all the bashing....uh, what are they doing over there? Even Ace's can't get the bashing to stop on their own guestbook. Whynner said it well: take away Ace's and they don't have much. Hopefully the Ace's owners will take note.
I would think Ace's would take the axe to that guestbook.. i surely wouldnt want that type of material on my business site.

I went last night (first time) had a great time although we did not win. Many colorfull people gathered and I met several, the one gal's band was up for the third time for Jazz I believe, she didn't win either. Yep...I have to agree "The Beachland is pivotal in determining winners of the FREE TIMES MUSIC AWARDS.
As I posted last year, to my knowledge The Beachland was one of handful of AWARD sponsors, that had paper ballots available at their venue.
