I selected one of my own photos from the many I have taken at Kent State for the front of the blog.

While it's debatable how much drama occurred at my son's wedding...there is PLENTY in the Cleveland country scene.

That's pretty amazing...about the united sucks thing. Makes you wonder how many sites there are for other things that piss people off. (Had to find a way to word that without using the word "suck" at the end of the sentence...tee hee).

Except the JDg nightmares...happend again last night. BTW: it ALWAYS ends poorly for JDg.
Like I don't have enough on my mind without having to drop kick him over a cliff.

Bar closed while parties fight about ownership
Thursday, April 10, 2008By Joe Noga

Brooklyn Sun Journal
BROOKLYN An ongoing dispute over ownership of a local nightclub appears headed to civil court after owners closed the bar on Friday.

Police were called to Aces Bar, 6600 Biddulph Road, while owner Lucky Bezak cleared audio equipment from the site and changed locks on the doors.

A dispute between Bezak and former business associate Michelle Bilko then boiled over when Bilko and her new business partner tried to prevent Bezak from closing the bar. Bilko made several calls to City Hall and the police department thinking the matter was under their jurisdiction.

But Police Chief Mark Tenaglia says the city has no say in whether Bezak can close Aces' doors.

Last month, Tenaglia urged city officials to pass a resolution opposing the liquor license transfer after an investigation revealed red flags in the background checks of some of the people involved.

Council unanimously supported Tenaglia's decision to decline the transfer.

Tenaglia said Bezak received April 3 a notice of forcible eviction from Fodor Realty, the company that manages the Aces property.

On Friday Bezak arrived at the bar with a locksmith in order to allow entertainment companies, including disc jockeys and bands to remove audio equipment from the site and lock it up afterward.

Tenaglia said Mark Heller of Fodor Realty confirmed by phone that Bezak's company GBN Enterprises was listed as the property's legal lessee and was allowed to change the locks.

Tenaglia said police were present Friday simply to keep the peace.

"It's a civil matter," he said. "This has to be determined by the courts. It's not a police matter."

A police spokesperson said a special detail officer watched the building throughout the weekend to ensure its security. Since Friday the business has remained closed.

Heller declined to comment, noting that the situation is a matter currently tied up in active litigation.

Cinco de Mayo

Spent an overwhelming majority of my weekend in jammies between long hot bubble baths...completely, totally vegged out.

Watched mindless television, re-runs of Law and Order, the entire fifth season of Sex in the City and chick flicks from the video store.

Another country band has bit the dust...Bottleneck.

The Curtis Brothers made a friend request to the Cleveland Country Blog MySpace. Gotta believe it is someone other than rubyking.

The story is; "someone" accidentally deleted their original Myspace, so they are in re-build mode.

Your Myspace can be deleted by "Tom", if ya are in violation of one of the many and compounding rules.

Here's the deal...have ya ever tried to delete a MySpace?

In order to delete your MySpace yourself...it's bout a three to four step process.

Ya are asked at least twice, maybe three times if ya are sure ya want to delete your page.

A disclaimer asks you; are you sure ?.
A warning pops up to tell you that you will never ever be able to retrieve/restore your space.

You are forwarded to a special page with a link, and must check a box...then you are sent an email asking you if ya are sure again, BEFORE you can delete your Myspace.

My question would be did "Tom" delete the Curtis Brothers MySpace or was it an accident?

I'll find a band instead of putting one together ... lot less hassles ... way less ... thats it for now. bill

Danny W gets a mention on the Lawless MySpace...but no pic for their promo pac.
Ummm...their main website?

How hard is it to find a Danny pic with Lawless?
He's been there, done that!

Sless said it was "worth" axing Ray.
Ya know... Lawless is taking it to the next level and/or going in a different direction.

Can't they magically insert a pic as easily as they can erase one?

Not really sure WHAT the next level is. As far as direction... it's been in circles for years.

Hope they can find a pic with Danny wearing some shoes. Maybe those can be airbrushed ON if needed. Nothing classier than bare feet or, even worse, flip flops! NOT! Danny's a good drummer, but at least Ray managed to show up completely dressed!

Lawless is taking a pass on Kenny Chesney's Next Big Star.

The contest is DOWNTOWN @ THE HARD ROCK CAFÉ, Friday night beginning at 9PM.

The local winner opens for Kenny Chesney @ Brown's Stadium on Saturday.

The Cleveland finalists are Bullseye, Lawless, Rio/Relentless, and Uptown Country.

The grand prize winner will travel by tour bus to open a weekend of shows and will receive $25,000 and an opportunity to audition for record company executives at Sony BMG.

According to the official rules...ya had to have entered to be “selected” by the local radio media affiliate, to participate.

The Lawless announcement of honor and commitment on their website as well as the MySpace bulletin is pretty lame. PERIOD!

Family, friends and fans,
NO MENTION OF FOES!

While it is very much an honor to be selected to blah blah blah... We respectfully have to decline.
We really didn't WANT to open for Kenny Chesney.

Due to scheduling issues (Berea Cook-OFF and a church festival) it would be impossible to make it down to the contest on Friday.

Our (NEW) belief in honoring our commitments,(we keep our calendar secret, just in case something better comes along) coupled with the dedication we have to our fans...blah blah blah.

We hesitate to go up against Tony Rio and lose...AGAIN!

We look forward to seeing you all this weekend just as planned.
