January 2008, I just found out about my buddy Frank's passing. I am devastated! :(
We played in two bands together back in the '70's and early '80's. I've known him since the mid-'70s.
I don't think he had a mean bone in his body.
Excellent guitarist.
I lost touch with him in the mid-'80's and have been looking for him ever since. I wish I could have found him before 2007.
One of the bands I was in with Frank also had one of this threads posters in it Rick-a-roo on lead vocals and keyboards. Hi Rick, long time no see.
RIP Frank, I am depressed that I will never see you again buddy.

PS: Anyone with any information about Frank, i.e. what he was doing since the '80s when I lost touch.
Frank and I had some common ailments that we talked about quite a bit.
What did he die from?

Here is a tape I made of Frank and myself just jamming in the basement of a friend's house back around ~1980.

My husband is such a "nice guy", offering encouraging messages to JDG and Sless.
He must be reminded what pretentious go-bots they are.

So much happens from day to day, and I am so so so distracted by other things.
NOT sure how to tackle it all.

Like I forgot to tell ya that Buck called Mr. Webster. Again...Mr. "nice guy" Webster carried on a pleasant conversation.
He did have to move about the house, away from ME, to handle the phone call.

OMG...I was so thankful, it wasn't the week of my son's wedding!

Yesterday...I laid in grapefruit scented bubbled water for three hours, it was the only time I was completely pain free.

I've been sleeping in a recliner for days. Getting out of a water bed ain't pretty...

Lead Guitar Wanted
posted: February 27, 2008, 03:09 PM
We've made some changes and we need an experienced, ENERGETIC lead guitar player to complete the 5 piece change over. This band has some of the best top talent in the area and will be one of the top bands with the right lead guitar. Qualifications should be: hybrid picker, familiarity with Top 40 country from early '90's to current, also a hot player in classic rock, willing to learn new material, slide is a plus, vocals a plus but not necessary, must be willing to work well in a group, no egos, and no one man show. Practice/rehersal at least once a week - locations are Cleveland (west) and Akron. We have had numerous booking inquiries from clubs we have played in the past, but, we need to fill this spot first. If you meet the above requirements respond with name, phone number, and city. Thank you.
