Remember when a stamp cost 29 cents. The Elvis stamp on the front of the blog today was issued in 1992.

I have to admit...the blog has been the last thing on my mind lately.

Lawless should be grateful I have been so distracted. I haven't ragged on them for almost a week.

Speaking of Lawless...they have quietly added a keyboard player.
No big announcement or bulletin telling us all how happy they are to add him to the Lawless family.
Someone should warn the guy...or perhaps he will have a conversation with Jerry Brightman.

BTW: Todd Waites Keyboards, Vocals , Bio Coming Soon!

Maybe...brushed into the Lawless promo picture soon.

Eventually, someone will direct the new guy to the blog.

Here are TWO pointers...

Do NOT upstage Sless.
Do NOT reveal any of your own contacts.

Guitar Needed asap for Working Country Band
posted: June 1, 2008, 11:16 PM

Pro guitar needed asap for working country rock cover band. You will share leads with other guitarist/keyboard player and must be diverse enough to play rhythm one song then take a smoking lead on the next. Vocal ability is a plus, but not required. We are a professional-level group that generally plays 2-6 days a month on weekend nights with bookings through New Years Eve.

We are a great Northeast, Ohio band that loves to have fun on stage and really plays well together. We need a top notch player who knows the signature licks and who can bring a dynamic presence to the group. Must be dedicated and professional with good equipment and good stage experience. We have full PA and soundman as well as practice space. This is a serious band so please, serious inquiries only. Visit www.citybillys.com for band info, song list, and partial schedule. Send email to info@citybillys.com or call Paul at 330-332-9644

Good Morning

Check out the pic on the front of the blog today. It's our first Hawaii sunrise, taken from our lanai about 5:15 AM. The sun is about to come up over Diamond Head.

We thought the specs in the water were ducks. The first real wave came...the "ducks" were actually surfers.

7:23 AM
Blogger Mrs. Webster said...

The time difference took some getting used to. At first, we would wake up 3:00 in the morning.

The second day we thought a nap before dinner would be a good idea. Unfortunately, we slept through the sunset, dinner, the torch lighting, and the hula girls.
Yeppers...we woke to another breathtaking sunrise.

LAREDO seeks lead guitarist !!
posted: June 19, 2008

Local country top 40 dance band LAREDO is looking for a top notch lead player. Lot's of gigs booked, and many more to come.

This is a great opportuinity (sic) for the right player to join one of the areas top bands. Averaging 100+ dates per year at top clubs and events this position is not for the player that desires to only play twice a month.

If you can't practice, can't learn material quickly, have poor gear and a unreliable vehice (sic)....don't call. If you are looking to do "fill-ins" and need to play with other bands at the same time...don't respond.
If you're a ego maniac and think the world revolves around you... definitely don't respond.

However, if you are ready to step up to the big league, and are a dedicated team player that can nail the parts consistantly (sic), you MAY be the right person for us.

Drop us a note with your information, past history and schedule.

Her bulletin: We apologize to our fans who showed up at Olmsted Falls community park yesterday to see our show and were disappointed as the park commission rep. double booked the date. I have been told they will reschedule our concert at another time this summer. We will post the new date as soon as it is confirmed. Thank you.

My response: C'mon...tell the truth. You were NOT double booked...you did NOT have a signed contract for the date.
Also...it is doubtful you will get a date this summer, as all the contracts are in. Less than 8 folks inquired about why ya weren't there.

Tony Basirico would like to clear the air...he said good-bye to Laredo.
Guess he wanted me to know he wasn’t aced like his predecessor Frank Dunch.
