"Not Ready to Make Nice"...

"Not Ready to Make Nice"

The Dixie Chicks new single spoke to me in a way I am still trying to figure out. It moved "Your Mama Can't Dance" right out of my head. The truth is...I went looking for my blog pads AKA legal pads. Yep...there it was, I am not ready to "play" nice and you wish I would get over it.
I should forgive but haven't...don't know how long it will take.

About the Dixie Chicks...
Huge fan...see profile/new question. My March 2003 on air conversation with WGAR
went something like this: Well some of your listeners agree with the Dixie Chicks. This is not a red nation. It's a free country, England is a free country! Some of us KNOW this is NOT a good idea. Back then, only 22% of the population agreed with us.
God love Mr. Webster, and his peace/power signs during the Heartland days!
TODAY...60-70% know, what we knew, depending on the poll.

I ran out of time to promote Lawless/Billy Dean. The "L" band, God we had to call them the "L" band because of Buck's kidney stones ,went on at five. The venue got poor reviews...seems like someone in town would treat our boys better. "Golden Boy"...Good God, you will never be a golden boy! I know nothing because...no one's talking but me...that could be trouble.

Whynner
You should have picked up the slack instead you played coy. If you are not a girl...you act like one!

Time for Idol
whynner...I know you watch Idol. The only real hold I know is Ernie...and he could be lying.

Laredo has a nice mention of the Blossom gig on their site as well. Didn't see anything on the Lawless site though...may have just missed it. And just who is Rambler 454? I'm assuming they're not from right around here.

Home for lunch.
Who can afford to go out to lunch every single day? Recently, I became violently ill, requiring emergency interventions, IV's, injections, medications, more medications, medications for the medications...food poisening. All because of the person who didn't wash their hands, and proceeded to handle my lunch.
I could go on and on about microbiology/infectious diseases.

SIDEBAR...if you are still hunting for a wife, and I tell you she didn't wash her hands in the bathroom, and you continue in the relationship with her, YOU are on your own.

Missed the Blue Moose
I am DONE with the Blue Moose...I don't care if it's Lawless or Bobby Sherman. The complaints of toliet water in the kitchen did it for me.

Lawless
Lawless has news. The whole bunch is being coy...besides they have been warned to shutup. Lawless news is still bittersweet at the Webster house. Cleveland country music history keeps the relationships rock steady even when it is storming.

Heartland...
We(so many of US) always feel bad for the musicians, awesome talent has come through the Heartland. Buck has had some great bands...really great bands! Former Members (I call them FM's) of The Heartland Band are the talent in Cleveland.

Blogger's Night
My email is no indication. Too many conflicting reports on who said what to who...and everybody's in an uproar over something!

American Idol
Just for whynner and Ernie, every one else on the planet knows what's happening on Idol. Maybe not Kleo...she's still under that rock, at the eastern edge of the Black River.
Results tonight! dialidol.com has Taylor safe. No real conclusive results for Elliott or Katherine.

Tobykeithfan- I multi-task very well (otherwise I wouldn't be here). Some people have way too much time on their hands and analyze things too much. Those people need a hobby that is worthwhile.

Whynner-What are you running with?

People go down the HL road all the time, over and over an infinite number of times. They can never "make fun" of the band enough. Stands to reason that they won't abide by Ross' request to let it go. Best wishes to Todd and his growing family!

No Toby doesn't know. Please don't tell him. I am ROTFLMAO

The girl next to me thinks I'm nuts. She should be used to it.

3:38 PM
Blogger simon said...

Yes, fair and square, just ask Ross, better yet go back and read it. It's before the Mr. Webster is at one of those gay clubs. And after his explanation of being biased against people loving ole hippies.
Whynner, while you are scavaging around could you scan those documents Ross has so that I can forward them to everyone I know.

11:37 AM
Blogger Nakkedmonkey said...

WOW... ALL THE BANDS ARE GOOD.. ITS JUST ABOUT SEVERAL FACTORS.. FAN BASE/PR WORK/GOING AFTER THE GOLD.. TRACY IT APPEARS TO ME YOUR ON THE ATTACK AGAINST LAWLESS..HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU NEED TO BE TOLD THAT LAWLESS HAS NO CONTROL OVER WHO WGAR PICKS THEY PICK WHO THEY WANT THATS THE BOTTOM LINE.. ITS UNFORTUNATE I GUESS YES... ALL THE BANDS HAVE GREAT FAN BASES/PR WORK/ BUT ITS BUSINESS.. ITS ABOUT TOO HOW THE BAND HANDLES THEMSELVES PROFESSIONALLY.. LAWLESS HAS WORKED HARD TO GET TO WHERE THEY ARE AND TO GET TO WHERE THEY ARE ABOUT TO GO.. LIKE JD SAID THEIR FANS HAVE ALOT TO DO WITH WHO THEY ARE AND ARE ABOUT TO BECOME I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT UNFORTUNATELY THATS HOW IT IS.. POLITICS OR NOT EITHER ACCEPT IT OR MOVE ON FROM IT.. THEY'VE BEEN BILLED THEIR FAIR SHARE OF CUT DOWNS AND WHAT NOT JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER BAND.. THEY BOUNCE BACK BECAUSE THEY DONT FORGET WHY THEY DO THIS AND WHO THEY ARE AS A BAND ..YOU GOTTA PLAY HARD TO RIDE W/ THE BIG BOYS.. THESE GUYS ARE PROOF OF THAT..

2:07 PM
Blogger Nakkedmonkey said...

Again that statement in no means is to say the other bands dont work just as hard .. Im sure they do..

2:25 PM
Blogger Nakkedmonkey said...

Tracy..my opinion yes they would still be there.. 94.9 plays the Hard way..?? Are they showing favortism too? I mean come on.. Everyone too knows in showbiz its about who you know.. its not a fault.. its the Entertainment business unfortunately.. it is the way it is.. Look at the crowds Lawless has brung to Shows like Andy Griggs and Trick Pony and Hot Apple pie... the proof is in the numbers maybe??

2:39 PM
Blogger Molly said...

Tracy, it'll get the same answer it always does: DENIAL. WGAR knows that they promote one band over all the rest but they will never admit it. I am not saying that Lawless isn't a great band at all. I don't watch "it" to hit the fan...This actually has nothing to do with the BAND itself. It's the radio station and the venues that have the agreement; again, they will never admit it. I do wish Lawless well in whatever comes their way and hope they take those opportunities as far as they can.

2:48 PM
Blogger Molly said...

That should've been I don't WANT "it" to hit the fan! LOL Where did I come up with WATCH?

Nakked had a great point, it's about who you know. Why NOT use that to your advantage?

2:50 PM
Blogger tobykeithfan said...

Oh No. Clevecntryfan is back !!!
Tracy what have you done?

2:51 PM
Blogger Molly said...

That being said, that the band should use things to their advantage (who wouldn't?), WGAR's actions speak WAY louder than their words in denying things...over and over denying something doesn't necessarily make it untrue.

2:57 PM
Blogger Nakkedmonkey said...

Molly honestly if we were all in their situation we would too.. think about it.. if you got a speeding ticket say in parma and your buddy was a parma cop wouldnt you try to call in a favor.. I mean who HASNT? lol
Bottom line its business.. Lawless has proved themselves over and over again with or without Wgar.

3:00 PM
Blogger Nakkedmonkey said...

LOL now thats funny!

3:01 PM
Blogger Nakkedmonkey said...

And if they got where they were because of Heartland (still laughing at that) dont you really think they'd still be there? and isnt Bucky kickin himself in the arse right about now then?? LOL
How do you think Heartland got the 2sets at Blossom becuase they know someone THATs the only reason..
Politically dont come on here breaching from the Buck Holy Bible please.. everyone here knows otherwise and you wont change our opinions of him.. im sure there's offstage banter going on but so what.. you dont see laredo and lawless going at it do you? You dont see Laredo pulling antics like Heartland has or its fans have? You'd never see a Laredo or Lawless fan pull that kinda crap!!

3:05 PM
Blogger Nakkedmonkey said...

Tracy you know what my point is...

3:09 PM
Blogger Nakkedmonkey said...

Tracy this has NOTHING to do with Parma cops persay.. jesus its an example would you feel better if I used say Strongsville? LOL god

3:12 PM
Blogger Nakkedmonkey said...

Its all word of mouth.. they go with who's popular i guess.. doesnt mean the other bands dont work just as hard.. its just word of mouth..
EVEN THIS blurb says it all..

Of course we would never be able to be in such a position if not for the endless support from our families, fans and friends. The constant push from all of you to do what we do, and the fact that you make it so enjoyable for us to do, remains the driving force.

3:15 PM
Blogger tobykeithfan said...

Now what kind of crap has the Heartland Fans pulled? I haven't seen any. They are fans just like all the other fans.

Come on, name that cop. We all need a break now and then.

3:18 PM
Blogger Molly said...

Oh boy....I go out to see Heartland too. Please don't lump me into any fans' "antics". I go out and listen to all the bands...even Silver Spur - who I bet are THRILLED they're not from this area! LOL They never get mentioned on this blog. IF HL got two sets because they know someone (and I have no clue), what's the different between using that advantage and Lawless using every advantage WGAR throws their way? I don't see a difference at all. What is good for one should be good for all. It's business, remember?

Nakked - You're darn right if I were in the same situation, I'd be doing it too! LOL Again, I wish Lawless the best.

Yes...it's the pre-drama, mixed with anticipated drama, then add alcohol. The truth is I don't think it's going to get off the ground.

Politically Uncorrect
You are welcome to voice your opinions, just be prepared for opposition. Far right is no better or worse than far left. My question would be as a frequent flyer to the blog...why the new name? I agree that great talent has come through Heartland...posted it yesterday. It's comical to me that you bring up that everyone is jealous of Lawless. The demise of Heartland, and it's inability to stabilize is Buck's relentless, life consuming jealous rage towards Lawless. He had a band that could have won the battle...

Amen. AWESOME news! We don't always resemble a prayerful community...but we are. Glad you stopped in. ACE'S all weekend with The Curtis Brothers. Very Cool, Great Venue! Great Country Band, Liberal Friendly, Free secure lit parking. Pleasant staff. Extra Bonus: no toilet water in the kitchen!

WGAR
They probably have me on a LEFT list for the "hen house", play the Dixie Chicks campaign. I tried to tell them the fans hate the afternoon saloon venue. The complaint email was probably put into the I hate Lawless pile...instead of the infectious disease/credit card fraud/hateful management pile. The official response was they get a great crowd. Interestingly, I did secure a lunch appointment with another country station's female on-air personality.

Politically Uncorrect
I have to keep fixing that...I just naturally write incorrect. In any event, I have a copious amount of information for you. It will take days. You are as welcome as anyone else is. Perhaps you will return to just reading or your more pleasant personality. Who knows what the hideous weather will bring. I can appreciate and often enjoy an opposing point of view...just ask JDH.
The rules are the same for everyone...regardless of what information you would like to share, the inconsistencies you post or the name you would like to use this go-around.
We desire a civilized community. Real slurring is just unacceptable. Slurring the cable-guy, the mailman, or hippies is not REAL slurring unless you call them fat lazy slobs. We tend to be politically tolerant. Profanity is a no no. References to body types is just vile.

Saturday Afternoon

The DaVinchi Code is still being discussed as the "date night" activity. I did not read the entire book. I read the analysis of the "the code" from the right and the left side.

We know Fat Boy's is out. I have documented in detail my issues with infectious diseases.

Laredo
We will not be seeing them tonight.
First...they have a wedding tonight. "Mazeltov" to the bride/groom. Second, they assume the Frank drama is my fault. The evidence is overwhelming that it isn't. Third...yep, it's still an issue. Ross is trying to wean himself off the blog. It's not going well!

Lawless
They are at Doc's tonight. We supported the Arthritis Walk this morning. Cash donations are still being accepted on their site.

Whiskey Bent
BW3 is a great venue for the East side. Too east for people who live in the country.

Backwoods/Kentucky Thunder
Date night? They have the night off.

ACE's
We love this place. The Curtis Brothers are there AGAIN tonight. The best west side venue for country...in our opinion!

As for the blog site, about a
month ago I started to "wean" myself off it. People just like to look for issues to interprete false meanings into. It's a great site for those that desire to hide behind a false identity, but not a method of communication that I care for...It's just too emotionally driven. There are other great on-line forums that are more relevent to things I am involved in. There are still at least half a dozen people that cut/paste and e-mail posts from the blog when they think I would have interest in them.

Feeling uplifted in my beliefs. Encouraged by faith. Peace be with you! The message was plain and simple...peace, justice, and apparently Mary Magdalena should be the concepts to rule the world. It would have to be or least make sense a woman's love holds it all together.
Can you imagine what being Jesus wife would be like, especially if MM really really loved him. "Leave me a note if you are going invite 12 people for dinner. I have fresh bread and cellar wine." You know the market is closed on the sabbath...we had this conversation a week ago."

I am only responding to family, and historical friends. This is the forum for anybody else.

Please stop sending myspace invites, I am not interested in being involved with that site. I visit my identifiable friends. Your computers pick up a lot crap over there. Parents will have to decide for themselves. I am not comfortable with recent media stories.

ACE's tonight!

The Therapeutic Riding Program (TRP) at Rocky River and Brecksville Stables in the Cleveland Metroparks is operated by Valley Riding Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)3 affiliate of the Cleveland Metroparks. The program has been providing therapeutic equestrian activities for individuals with disabilities since 1988.

The stables provide weekly therapeutic activities to children and adult with quality of life disabilities...amputations, autism, cerebral palsy, Downs syndrome,MS, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, stroke, traumatic brain injury, hearing and visual impairments.

The movements and shape, of the horse allows tight, spastic muscles to relax to improve posture and balance. The horse can lend its strength and abilities to the rider. Therapeutic instruction improves eye/hand coordination, spatial relations, and an understanding of direction of varying complexity.

Great cause! Things that are worthwhile should be funded generously. I applaud Laredo, and Lawless for their efforts this weekend fund raising. Your support is meaningful to someones underfunded cause. The donation of your time and talent is worthy of recognition.

ACE's was tooooooooo far east for our plans Saturday night. BW3 was 47 miles in the wrong direction.

4:27 PM
Blogger Mrs. Webster said...

Here is an idea: How about I respond immediately to a potential misunderstanding?

There was not a racial insinuation, nor an east side VS west side situation. It's not demographics, it's mileage. All the Cleveland clubs are least 30 miles from our personal residence. We regret the miscommunication. We are supportive of the Cleveland country music scene, post most gigs with locations for planning. Our plans on Saturday night could not accommodate an additional 47 miles. However, when our plans are closer to your location, we plan to visit. We love the eclectic East side. We are hopeful you understand that we live in western Lorain county.
If you have further concerns/comments, please feel free to contact us.

NO Sara...The same thing did NOT just happen to Ross. Your original post didn't reek of any bias. That idea has been conveniently imported. If you baited me...good for you!

So Sara...
It was clear, comcastically clear, for days that I was distraught with Ross's "post". Ross had every opportunity to do the right thing the FIRST WEEK. I cannot emphasise enough...timing is everything.
Only people that don't log on, cave dwellers and Black River crustaceans are unaware of my reaction to his thoughtlessness and perverse humor.
Ross does NOT live in a cave, in fact, I have been to his home...it's very nice.
The Black River is a Lorain county river that I refer to all the time, it's where some posters slither out from beneath their rocks. The river can be found on any map. It is NOT in reference to a band or skin color.
Ross has declared his opposition to anonymity...so he is not a crustacean.
Ross historically logged-on about 4 X per day...not the once a week he claims.
Ross has mustered up the courage to communicate with me directly in the past 24 hours. I can honestly, and sincerely say...his statements are meaningless, veiled in half truths and pointless rhetoric. I wish him well in his pursuit of PU.

Ross
You are looking for a female with right wing radical tendencies. Look for hives...she's been hanging out in a LEFT blog. She's a "Redneck Revolution" fan. Look for Toby Keith memorabilia. Despite her position, she is intelligent, computer literate, capable of forming sentences, spells properly, and articulates her thoughts very well. When you find PU, let me know if I am right...I mean left.
